Twenty-five years ago I built my first website, and I've been building ever since: business sites, nonprofit sites, web apps, the lot.
I've spent as much of that time keeping sites alive as launching them, which taught me the thing most designers never learn: the launch is the easy part. The years after are where a website earns its keep.
The Outer Banks is a place where reputation is everything and everyone knows who does good work. That suits me fine. I'd rather build twenty sites that hold up than two hundred that don't.
